Meet Athena

I’m Athena, founder and permanent makeup artist at Artistry by Athena, a Milpitas-based permanent makeup studio serving San Jose and the greater Bay Area. With more than 20 years of experience in the beauty industry, my background includes professional makeup artistry, hairstyling, and advanced permanent makeup training.

I have always been drawn to the art of enhancing natural beauty. Growing up in a creative family, I was inspired by my mother, a professional hair stylist, who showed me how beauty services can help people feel confident, comfortable, and look their best.

After earning my bachelor’s degree in Business Finance and spending time in the banking industry, I realized I wanted a career that allowed me to combine creativity, artistry, and working closely with people.

That path eventually led me to specialize in permanent makeup, where I have continued building my skills through professional education and advanced training.

My Approach to Permanent Makeup

I believe permanent makeup should enhance your natural features rather than change the way you look. Every client has a different facial structure, skin characteristics, natural brow pattern, lifestyle, and personal style, so every treatment should be customized.

I approach each appointment as a personalized design process. I carefully consider your facial features, existing brows or makeup, desired result, and long-term goals before recommending a technique or treatment approach.

I specialize in Nano Brows, Microblading, Ombré Powder Brows, Permanent Eyeliner, Lip Blush, and permanent makeup correction and removal.

Whether I am creating realistic hairstrokes, adding soft definition to the brows, enhancing the eyes, or restoring natural-looking color to the lips, my goal is to create balanced results that complement your individual features and simplify your daily beauty routine.
